Sexual intercourse sees blood, it may be this situation

Many couples will experience spotting after sexual intercourse, which affects their sex life and needs to be checked in time. Sometimes it is caused by gynecological inflammation, and sometimes it is caused by residual pieces of the hymen. In this case, you can have more sexual intercourse and seek timely treatment.

1. After going to the hospital for a check-up, it turned out that the cause of the bleeding was due to residual pieces of the hymen. So what is the hymen remnant? To answer this question, we have to start with the hymen. When a woman is a virgin, the vaginal opening is often covered by the labia minora. When the labia minora are separated, it can be seen that the vagina is almost completely enclosed by the hymen. The hymen is a layer of mucous membrane tissue covering the vaginal opening. Its shape, thickness and toughness vary from person to person. It is generally 2 mm thick. Generally speaking, the hymen breaks during the first sexual intercourse. The cracks can be scattered in many places, the most common of which is located in the back half of the hymen, and can also be arranged radially. The first sexual intercourse may be accompanied by a small amount of bleeding and mild pain, commonly known as "seeing blood", which is a sign of virginity. At this time, the edge of the torn hymen will often quickly form a scar and become several segmented tissues. The ruptured hymen wound will also heal quickly, and there will be no pain or bleeding when having sexual intercourse again.

2. However, the hymen of a few women is congenitally thick and tough, and it migrates with the vaginal mucosa at the base. During first sexual intercourse, if the man's penis is small, although the hymen can rupture and bleed, it cannot completely tear the hymen to the surrounding area, but only partially tears it, leaving larger pieces of hymen fragments that will grow, repair and recover quickly afterwards. When having sex again, the original damaged area will tear again, causing bleeding and pain. This situation can occur repeatedly, causing distress to newlyweds.

3. If this happens, you can increase the frequency of sexual intercourse appropriately in the near future so that the mucosal rupture is close to the base of the hymen. At this time, bleeding and pain will not occur during sexual intercourse again. However, it should be noted that if the fragments of the hymen are large, bleeding is heavy during sexual intercourse, and the pain is severe, you should go to the hospital in time to have surgery to remove the fragments of the hymen.
