How to choose a contraceptive method?

Nowadays, many young couples have no plans to have a baby, so contraception becomes a very important thing in their lives. However, if they get pregnant, they cannot enjoy sex to the fullest. Therefore, they must choose some healthier and safer contraceptive methods, so that they will not be afraid, enjoy sex to the fullest, and promote the relationship between husband and wife. So how to choose a contraceptive method?

In a survey titled "Physical and Mental Health of Urban White-Collar Women", nearly half of the 2,245 white-collar women in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and other places said that their sex life was just a formality, mainly because they were afraid of accidental pregnancy due to improper contraception.

The number of induced abortions in my country is about 13 million per year. Not only do the victims suffer physical damage, but the psychological pressure also grows with each painful abortion.

Which contraceptive method is reliable? Experts recommend a gold standard with a nice name - the Pearl Index. The Pearl Index refers to the number of pregnancies that occur for every 100 women using a certain contraceptive method in one year. The index for condoms is 3 to 12, which means that among 100 people, there will be 3 to 12 unwanted pregnancies using condoms, while the index for safe period contraception is 15 to 20. The index for low-estrogen dose short-acting contraceptives is 0.16, which is the lowest among all contraceptive methods.

Of course, in addition to the Pearl Index, the choice of contraceptive method varies from person to person. Breastfeeding mothers are obviously more suitable for condom contraception. Emergency contraceptive pills should never be used as a regular method of contraception. They should not be taken more than three times a year and not more than once a month. Long-acting contraceptives have serious side effects, so it is best not to take them if you have not given birth.

The above is an introduction on how to choose a contraceptive method. In fact, everyone should make a choice based on their own physical condition. Of course, men also have to bear some responsibilities in this regard. Generally speaking, male contraception is safer and more effective than female contraception, and it will not cause harm to women's bodies. I hope everyone will try to choose male contraceptive methods when taking contraceptive measures.
