Why do men live 5 to 8 years less than women?

Men have been regarded as the representatives of "strength" since ancient times. Born weak

Compared to women, men are inherently weaker. Data shows that the average life expectancy of men is 5 to 8 years shorter than that of women, and their quality of life is lower. A large number of clinical studies have shown that at birth, there are more males than females, about 105:100; but when people reach the age of 64 to 75, the ratio of males to females becomes 80:100, indicating that males have a higher risk of premature death than females. When they are born, male babies are more likely to suffer from various diseases than female babies. For example, male babies are 16 times more likely to suffer from color blindness than female babies, 3 to 4 times more likely to suffer from autism, 2 to 3 times more likely to suffer from dyslexia, twice as likely to suffer from hearing loss, and are twice as likely to die from parasite-related diseases.

Data from the United States show that the top causes of death among men are cancer, heart disease, accidents, stroke, overweight or obesity, diabetes, depression, kidney disease, etc. Among them, 700,000 men are newly diagnosed with cancer each year, and 300,000 may die. Prostate cancer accounts for 1/6 of all male cancers, and testicular cancer is most common in men aged 15 to 35. 450,000 men die from cardiovascular disease each year. 92% of deaths from work-related injuries are men. More than 60% of American men are overweight or obese, and the number of male diabetics is as high as 13 million. More than 6 million men are diagnosed with depression. The above data show that men’s health crisis is imminent.
