The penis is composed of two corpora cavernosa and one corpus spongiosum. The urethra runs through the corpus spongiosum, connecting to the bladder internally and the glans penis externally. The corpus cavernosum is rich in vascular sinuses and is surrounded by a tough white membrane on the outside. The corpus cavernosum and urethra are surrounded by penile fascia to form a whole. When the penis is erect, the vascular sinuses in the corpus cavernosum become more congested, and the blood flow increases by up to 25 times compared to the flaccid state. It is precisely because the penis has this special anatomical structure and physiological characteristics that when the penis is erect, the blood membrane of the penis is in a highly tense state due to the filling of the corpus cavernosum with blood. At this time, if it is subjected to strong external force and the penis is bent consciously or unconsciously, the white membrane outside the corpus cavernosum will rupture. With a crisp "pop" sound, the penis will immediately become flaccid. At the same time, it may be accompanied by severe pain, swelling of the penis, and subcutaneous bruising and cyanosis that is biased towards the injured side. This is a "fracture" of the penis. From this point of view, the so-called "fracture" of the penis is actually a figurative term for a broken penis. "Fractures" can occur in any part of the penis, but clinically it is common to see "fractures" in the proximal 1/3 of the penis. In addition to the above symptoms, if the penile fascia is injured, bleeding may seep into the scrotum or perineal skin along the inner space of the fascia. Generally speaking, urination is normal when there is no urethral injury. If there is compression due to hematoma, urination may be difficult. As for the causes of penis "fracture", there are no more than the following aspects: First, the wrong method of sexual intercourse. During sexual intercourse, the erect penis is not aimed at the vaginal opening and violently hits the perineum or other parts, or in the sexual intercourse posture, it is clever and changes the posture randomly, causing the penis to bend strongly for a moment when it is erect. Second, trauma, when the penis is erect or semi-erect, due to the effect of external gravity or blunt force, it can cause penile fracture Third, some people often use their hands to hit or bend the erect penis in order to get stronger stimulation during masturbation. Others constantly insert the penis into certain objects in order to vent their sexual desires. All of these situations can cause penile "fracture". |
