A person may fall in love several times in his life, but there is only one first love. After young men and women choose their loved ones, they begin their first love. Its success or failure will directly affect a person's future concepts of love and sex. Most young people are a little shy when they start their first love. They try their best to be steady and natural when dating their partners, but they often cannot adjust their inner passion satisfactorily. Generally speaking, there are not many opportunities for sexual impulses in first love, which is largely a spiritual pursuit. Once you enter the stage of passionate love, your psychological state is very different. Young men and women appear passionate, unrestrained, even "out of their minds", and strong sexual impulses follow. When passion outweighs reason, a series of abnormal phenomena may occur: such as regarding the other party's weaknesses as strengths, disregarding the constraints of social organizations for trysts, reduced work and study efficiency, etc. As someone once said, "When young men and women are in love, their intelligence is often at its lowest level." The first characteristic of love is exclusivity. This refers to a psychological state of resisting any opposite sex approaching the person you are in love with. The so-called jealousy in love is a reflection of this characteristic. Indeed, any young man or woman requires his or her beloved partner to be loyal to him or her; this is also one of the guarantees for maintaining the monogamous marriage system. There are many manifestations of exclusivity: in mild cases, one may feel uncomfortable when seeing one's partner getting close to someone of the opposite sex; in severe cases, one may become furious or have arguments and act wildly. Excessive exclusivity has two bad consequences. One is mutual suspicion, which leads to breakups in relationships or punishment of innocent friends. The other is using sexual behavior to constrain the relationship between the two parties, which leads to some bitter consequences. The second characteristic of love is volatility. This is one of the manifestations of emotional instability in adolescence. When happy, people smile and dance; when unhappy, they panic and become dejected. The strong volatility may lead to some vicious incidents. For example, when one suspects that the other party has betrayed him, he may become extremely hateful and injure or kill the other person, or he may become mentally ill or commit suicide. The third characteristic of passionate love is impulsiveness. This is a psychological tendency for young people to feel strongly close to the object of their love. This impulsiveness can enable young people in love to break through all shackles, such as social pressure, family pressure and so on. However, sexual activity also often occurs when sexual desire is high and sexual passion is strong. Especially for young men and women who fall in love at first sight, it is more impulsive. In addition, impulsiveness is also manifested in going through fire and water for the object of love and making great self-sacrifices without considering whether such sacrifice has social value. |
