How to prevent pregnancy without condoms?

Today's society has made progress, and cohabitation before marriage is a relatively common phenomenon. So before you want to have a child, you must take contraceptive measures. When choosing a contraceptive method, you must also consider the female menstrual cycle. Different contraceptive methods can be used at different stages. This can also reduce harm to women. The use of contraceptives may bring some harm to yourself, and condoms may cause some inflammation. Let's learn about how to prevent pregnancy without a condom.

Natural contraception

Difficulty controlling ejaculation

Those contraceptive methods that require the use of external drugs or devices make people feel more or less uncomfortable, so some people hope to use natural contraception without external help, but the contraceptive effect is compromised.

It is a type of family planning measure that does not use any drugs or medical means, but instead uses the symptoms and signs that appear during a woman's menstrual cycle to indirectly judge the ovulation process, identify the fertile period before and after ovulation, and perform periodic abstinence to achieve the purpose of contraception.

It is based on the following reproductive physiology theory: women ovulate only once in a menstrual cycle; the period for conception after the egg is released is 24 hours; after the sperm enters the female reproductive tract, it can survive for 3-5 days if it is protected by good cervical mucus. Therefore, during a woman's menstrual cycle, there are only 4-6 days during which she is fertile. If you can determine the ovulation date, then avoiding sexual intercourse from 5 days before ovulation to one day after ovulation can achieve the purpose of contraception.

In addition to safe period contraception, commonly used natural contraception methods also include measuring body temperature. A woman's body temperature will increase slightly after ovulation, about 0.5 degrees Celsius. You can also divide each menstrual cycle into a dry period - a moist period - a dry period based on the cyclical changes in women's cervical mucus secretions, relying on the women's own feelings and the observed properties of the secretions. The moist period (more and thinner leucorrhea) is a period of possible conception, especially the day when the secretions are egg white-like, clear, transparent, highly elastic, and have a long stringy texture. This is likely to be the ovulation period, and it is easiest to get pregnant at this time. Therefore, sexual intercourse is strictly prohibited for 3 days before and after this day, so as to achieve the purpose of contraception.

Women with regular menstrual cycles can achieve the effect of contraception by calculating the safe period. Most women have a menstrual cycle lasting 24-32 days, with ovulation occurring between days 12-18. If the egg is not fertilized within 24 hours after ovulation, the egg cell will lose its fertilization activity on its own. After being released, sperm can generally fertilize the egg within 3 days, but there are also reports that sperm can still retain the ability to fertilize a week after sexual intercourse. The so-called "safe period" is actually very short. For women with a 28-day menstrual cycle, this "safe" period is only about one week. Moreover, due to changes in climate, diet, mood, environment, etc., ovulation time may fluctuate, and even extra ovulation may occur.

Therefore, the safe period contraceptive method is not reliable in actual operation. The human body's temperature and mucus are also affected by the external environment, so these two methods cannot be relied upon for contraception.

The above is a series of contraceptive methods on how to prevent pregnancy without condoms. Methods such as ejaculation outside the body and birth control pills are relatively effective methods. Of course, the success rate is not 100%. While taking precautions, you must also consider your own health. Some people are prone to inflammation, so they are not suitable for contraceptive methods with condoms.
