What are some contraceptive methods without side effects?

Contraception is a healthy method, which mainly involves taking certain measures to prevent unwanted pregnancies. But in fact, there are many methods of contraception. However, some people do not care much about contraception and choose various contraceptive methods without consideration, which may have some effects on the body in the long run. For example, long-term use of contraceptives and taking emergency contraceptives are very harmful to the body. So what are some contraceptive methods without side effects?

1. Oral contraceptives

There are mainly two types of oral contraceptives on the market: short-acting oral contraceptives and emergency contraceptives. Emergency contraceptives can usually only play a single contraceptive mechanism, so the contraceptive effect will be greatly reduced. Generally speaking, the effectiveness of emergency contraceptives is about 85%, and the contraceptive effect is much lower than that of short-acting oral contraceptives (>99%).

2. Calculate the safe period

Most women have a menstrual cycle of 24-32 days. Ovulation usually occurs about 14 days before the next menstrual period. If the egg is not fertilized within 24 hours after ovulation, the egg cell will die on its own. Generally speaking, sperm can fertilize an egg within three days after ejaculation, but there are also reports that sperm can still retain the ability to fertilize an egg one week after sexual intercourse. If we exclude the time of menstruation and the time of possible pregnancy, the "safe period" is very short, only about 10 days. In addition, newlyweds are under great mental stress and their regular lives are disrupted, so it is easy for their ovulation time to change or for extra ovulation to occur. Therefore, newlyweds should not use calculation of the safe period to prevent pregnancy.

In addition to the above two methods, there is another very effective contraceptive method, which is to use condoms. In fact, more than half of the people in our country use male condoms for contraception. However, the disadvantage of condoms is that they greatly reduce the quality of sex. For newlyweds, many people are unwilling to use them.
