How to drink water for better health

Water is the source of life. We cannot live without water in our daily life, but not everyone knows how to drink water correctly. Here we will teach you how to avoid misunderstandings about drinking water and drink water correctly.

Drinking water misunderstanding

Drinking more water is not always better:

Water is essential for beauty, and plump and smooth skin cannot be achieved without the nourishment of water. But for women, drinking more is not necessarily better. Eight glasses of water a day are enough to meet the body's needs. In addition to these 8 glasses of water, we can also replenish a lot of water through food. There is really no need to force yourself to drink a lot of water, otherwise it will backfire and increase the burden on the kidneys.

Drinking a glass of light salt water in the morning is not really healthy:

People do not drink a drop of water during the whole night's sleep, but breathing, sweating and urination are still going on. These physiological activities consume and lose a lot of water. Drinking salt water will aggravate hypertonic dehydration and make people feel even drier.

Morning is the time when the human body's blood viscosity is the highest. Drinking salt water will make blood pressure higher. Especially people with poor heart function and high blood pressure should not drink light salt water in the morning.

Using soup instead of water is not a wise choice:

In addition to water, soup is also rich in salt and fat. Therefore, although you can replenish water by drinking soup, you will also consume more salt and fat, which will slowly erode your good figure. Therefore, drinking soup is not a good way to replace drinking water.

How to drink water healthily?

What water is best to drink?

Professor Li Fuxing, an authoritative nutrition expert in China and the first person to know about healthy drinking water, has set four principles for good drinking water:

1. Weakly alkaline water. The pH value of water should be close to or slightly higher than the pH value of human blood (the pH value of human blood is: 7.35~7.45) (that is, the water should be weak alkaline water. Please check the bottled and barreled pure water or mineral water sold on the market. Basically, all of them are acidic water. How sad! (Detection method: buy a small bottle of pH reagent, pour a little mineral water in a transparent glass, add 3 drops of pH reagent, shake the cup to see its acidity and alkalinity).

2. Small molecule water (Water in nature does not exist in the form of a single water molecule (H2O), but is composed of several water molecules aggregated together through H bonds to form water clusters, commonly known as "water molecule clusters" in China. Small water molecules are easily absorbed by human cells, and this type of water is also called active water.)

3. Aging water. The longer the water age, the better. Water from different sources has different renewal times. River water takes 20 days to renew, lake water takes 100 years, and groundwater takes at least 300 years.

4. Negative ion water. That is negative potential water. Only negative potential water can remove free radicals in the human body. (Note: The water we usually drink is basically positive potential water)?

When is the best time to drink water?

1. After getting up: Drinking more water after getting up in the morning can compensate for the water consumption at night, and it also plays a certain role in preventing the formation of high blood pressure, cerebral hemorrhage, and cerebral thrombosis.

2. About 1 hour before meals: Drinking water on an empty stomach about 1 hour before meals can replenish water to tissue cells throughout the body, supply the body's need for water, ensure the secretion of necessary and sufficient digestive juices to promote appetite, help digestion and absorption, and at the same time will not affect the physiological water content in tissue cells. It can also avoid drinking water due to thirst before going to bed, which leads to getting up at night and swollen eyes the next day.

3. Morning and afternoon breaks: Drinking water during work can replenish the water excreted through sweating and urine, and it can also help the body excrete waste smoothly.

4. 2 to 3 hours before going to bed: Drinking water at this time can dilute the blood and accelerate blood circulation.
