The company was founded in 2014. A year later, it had eight part-time employees and several thousand users (the total number of users was not disclosed). Users only need to pay 15.59 euros per month. The company has currently produced about 45 films, 10 of which can be perfectly integrated with remote sex.

Kovalsky said they worked with Lovense to make the VR porn experience not only mental but also physical. They found some specific users to test the match between "Max" and "Nora" and their movies and provide as realistic synchronization feedback as possible. In the long run, accumulated user feedback will influence the development of Lovense sex toys.

Initially, they intended to create movies that would allow users to move around in a VR world, but, based on testing, many users experienced dizziness. So for now, everyone just has to lie back and enjoy.

Kovalsky and his wife do all the work in the company, from filming the movies to marketing to distribution. When they started their business, the couple had an agreement that if doing this affected their relationship, they would give up immediately. But currently, the company is profitable, so a year later, they will have the opportunity to use the money they earned to go to Zurich, Switzerland, Venice and other places to make up for the honeymoon they missed due to starting a business.

"We have no problems, we love each other, we kiss and make love every night, and there is more passion. We are trying to learn new things about sex," Kovalsky said.

Adhere to real-life shooting

Currently, their users use roughly the same proportion of VR devices:

33% of users use Oculus Rift, 35% use Google Cardboard glasses, and 32% use Samsung Gear.

50% of users are in North America, 40% in Europe, and 10% in Australia.

Users are generally over 20 years old. Most American users are in their 20s, most European users are in their 30s, and most Australian users are over 40 years old.

VirtualRealPorn will launch apps for Android and iOS in the coming months, and will sync with Lovense toys.

We already have relatively mature ideas for male toys, which mainly use magnetic field technology to simulate the feeling of touch, and can be synchronized well with virtual reality videos. Since users do not need to use toys manually, the fantasy will become more real.

But women's toys are currently more complicated

We are designing one, but the research is still in its early stages and is quite difficult because the toy currently requires hand-held operation. Traditional toys are completely sex machines and are very large, so we are trying various methods to solve this problem. We had some early sketches that required the woman’s thighs to hold up the toy. This design requires a lot of work.

Ideally, when the user moves their toy, the on-screen performer will react accordingly. We have also thought about making sex toy peripherals to allow users to realize their fantasies in the virtual world. But the current obstacle is the lack of sensors that can detect tiny movements of 4-6 cm.

There are already many imitators on the market, such as VStroker and Mojowij, but VirtualRealPorn insists on its own development path: no one is interested in computer simulation.
