The healthiest time and frequency of sex

The healthiest time and frequency of sex

1. Harmonious Sexual Life

In order to make the sex life harmonious, both husband and wife should understand basic sexual knowledge, especially the normal differences in sexual functions between men and women. Otherwise, the couple will not be able to cooperate with each other. In summary, there are some differences between male and female sexual functions:

(1) Men have stronger and more vigorous sexual desire, and can be sexually excited at any time; women have relatively weaker sexual desire, and sexual excitement is related to the menstrual cycle (generally, sexual desire is higher around ovulation and before menstruation). There are a few women who have weak or even no sexual desire before marriage, and their sexual desire gradually increases during their sexual life after marriage.

(2) Male sexual impulses occur faster, they reach climax quickly, and their sexual desire subsides faster. Generally speaking, it takes about 2 to 6 minutes (or 3 to 15 minutes) for a normal male to ejaculate from the beginning of sexual intercourse. Female sexual impulses occur more slowly, usually taking 10 to 30 minutes (or 5 to 15 minutes) to reach climax, the climax lasts longer, and their sexual desire subsides more slowly.

(3) Male sexual desire tends to be concentrated on the sexual organs, and the desire for sexual intercourse is very strong; female sexual desire is more extensive and complex, including chatting, laughing, tenderness, caressing, etc., and only after reaching a certain level of excitement will they desire sexual intercourse. The most ideal sexual life is for both parties to reach orgasm at the same time or for the woman to reach orgasm first and then the man to ejaculate. After the woman reaches orgasm, it does not affect the continuation of sexual intercourse; moreover, unlike men, women can reach orgasm again in a short period of time (the degree of sexual pleasure varies from person to person. For the same person, the degree of pleasure each time of sexual intercourse is also different).

2. Frequency of sexual intercourse

How much sexual intercourse is appropriate is a difficult question to answer. The strength of sexual desire varies from person to person, and even the same person is affected by many factors such as age, physique, personality, occupation, climate, environment, and emotions. Therefore, the frequency of sexual intercourse cannot be determined mechanically, but should be appropriately adjusted according to the specific circumstances of both parties.

During the honeymoon period, sexual desire is stronger and sexual intercourse is more frequent. In the first few months after marriage, it is usually 2 to 3 times a week. As age increases, it will gradually decrease to once every 1 to 2 weeks. People with poor health may do it less frequently.

When couples reunite after a long separation, they often have sexual intercourse more frequently. This is human nature, but it should also be practiced in moderation. Whether the sexual life is moderate can be judged by the feeling the next day. If both parties do not feel tired, but feel full of energy and work vigorously, this indicates that the sex life is moderate. If you experience symptoms such as loss of energy, heavy head, light feet, decreased appetite, dizziness, and palpitations, it means you are overdoing it and you should exercise moderation. There are a few couples with strong sexual desire who have frequent sexual intercourse and both parties still feel refreshed and energetic, which should be considered appropriate.

3. Sexual intercourse time

The most appropriate time for sexual intercourse is before going to bed at night to allow for rest and recovery after intercourse. Sometimes the man has a heavy workload during the day and feels tired, so it is best to take a nap before having sex to avoid premature ejaculation.

In addition, in the following situations, the man or woman must restrain his sexual desire and reduce or avoid sexual intercourse.

1. It is not advisable to have sexual intercourse after recovering from a serious illness.

2. It is not advisable to have sex when you are overly tired, drunk or in a bad mood.

3. During menstruation, sexual intercourse is strictly prohibited.

4. Sexual intercourse should be avoided during the first three months and the last three months of pregnancy.

5. Refrain from sexual intercourse from the time you give birth until your uterus heals (about 6 to 7 weeks).

6. Women are prohibited from having sexual intercourse within two weeks after having an IUD inserted (or removed) or men having a vasectomy. Women should avoid sexual intercourse within one month after having their fallopian tubes tied.

7. Other situations where the doctor recommends that sexual intercourse should be avoided.
