How to prevent pregnancy when married?

It is easy for some accidents to happen after passion. Sometimes the condom will break during sexual intercourse, which will lead to unexpected pregnancy. In order to avoid pregnancy, some friends will go to the toilet after sex and try to expel the semen from the body. In fact, this method is unscientific. So how can married people prevent pregnancy?

However, these methods can only kill and clean the sperm remaining in the vagina. When the condom breaks, the sperm will quickly swim into the cervix and uterus, and some people will inevitably become pregnant. As to whether the number of women who did not become pregnant was due to these measures, it is difficult to say. Because unprotected sex itself is not 100% certain to lead to pregnancy. Its pregnancy rate is about 2-30%. The measures introduced below are how to minimize the pregnancy rate. What are the methods of contraception after the event?

What are the methods of post-coital contraception? The methods of post-coital contraception can be generally divided into two categories: drug methods and mechanical methods. Drugs are further divided into hormonal and non-hormonal drugs.

Hormonal drugs

Contraceptive pills are commonly used in China for visiting relatives. Many visiting relatives medicines still need to be taken before sexual intercourse. Among them, Anti-Pregnancy No. 53 only requires one tablet to be taken immediately after each sexual intercourse, and one tablet to be taken the next morning after the first sexual intercourse. After that, one tablet should be taken every day. After taking fourteen tablets, the contraceptive effect is 99.5%. Other hormonal post-pregnancy drugs include simple estrogen, i.e. ethylphenol, which needs to be taken for 5 days after each sexual intercourse, twice a day, 25 mg each time, with an effect of more than 99%, but the gastrointestinal reaction is severe and difficult to be accepted.

There are also progestins. A single dose of 18-methylnorhenothindrone 0.4 mg after sexual intercourse has an efficacy of 98.3%, but has the disadvantage of irregular bleeding.

The third type of post-coital hormone medicine is a combination of estrogen and progesterone, known as tetra-estrogen abroad. That is, the medicine is taken twice within 72 hours after sex, with a 12-hour interval between them. Each dose of ethinyl estradiol 50 micrograms and 18-methylnorhenothindrone 250 micrograms had a failure rate of 0-1.6%. Side effects are the same as before. The mechanism of these hormonal post-coital contraceptives is not single. They can interfere with sperm activity and capacitation, fallopian tube motility, inhibit or delay ovulation, fertilization, corpus luteum function, endometrial development, implantation and embryo development, etc.

Non-hormonal drugs

Scientists from all over the world have spent a lot of effort in searching for it, but so far most of the results have remained in animal experiments. The only one used on humans is danazol, with a success rate of 98-99.1%.

The more ideal post-sex contraceptive pill is a menstrual regulator, also known as a menstrual induction and pregnancy-stopping drug. That is, when a woman's menstrual period is overdue a few days later, taking this medicine can induce menstruation. Even if she is pregnant, this medicine can cause a spontaneous abortion of the very early embryo. The more mature drugs of this type include RU486, which was successfully developed in France and has also been mass-produced and marketed in my country. In recent years, RU486 has been successfully used for contraception and is expected to be used clinically soon.

The mechanical method of post-coital contraception is the insertion of an intrauterine device, which must be placed within 7 days after unprotected sexual intercourse. It is more effective if it is placed within 5 days. It has been reported that there was only 1 failure among 879 research subjects. If you do not want to keep it in for a long time, you can remove it after the menstruation comes. Its contraceptive principle is mainly to prevent the fertilized egg from implanting in the endometrium.

The above is an introduction on how to prevent pregnancy when married. In fact, there are many methods of contraception. Everyone must believe in scientific and healthy methods and not trust some folk remedies lightly. This can easily lead to contraceptive failure and cause unwanted pregnancy. Those who do not want children will choose abortion, which is very harmful to the female body.
