Patients with hematuria can be treated to stop bleeding; if accompanied by pain, antispasmodic and analgesic treatment can be given, generally first treated with cholecystokinin antagonists such as scopolamine or atropine. If the cause is clear and the above analgesics are ineffective, morphine-like drugs can be given for pain relief; if accompanied by high fever, antipyretic treatment can be given.
